Regional Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program
Employer Agreement
point2point solutions provides a regional Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program for
employer worksites in the greater Eugene Springfield metropolitan area and extending
to outlying communities including, Cottage Grove, McKenzie Bridge, Junction City,
Elmira, Veneta, Oakridge, and Coburg. The regional ERH program pays for taxi
rides home in case of an emergency for employees who commute to work by carpooling,
vanpooling, riding the bus, walking, or bicycling.
This agreement outlines the guidelines for participation in the program, and
failure to follow the established ERH guidelines, could result in cancellation
of a company’s participation.
______________________(employer) wishes to participate
in the point2point solutions regional ERH program. We will provide the following
support to qualify for this program and for emergency transportation services
paid for by point2point solutions:
1. Establish a system for administration of the Emergency Ride Home (ERH)
program by:
- Appointing an ERH Administrator accountable for the determination
of an employee emergency and the distribution of taxi vouchers. This
could be one management-level
person (e.g., in Human Resources) or, for very large employers or worksites
with longer business hours, this may have to be shared among various
personnel.
- Completing the baseline questionnaire* on page two of this agreement
and any other subsequent questionnaires for ERH program research.
2. Allow the ERH Administrator to process employee requests for ERH trips
by:
- Approving or rejecting requests in accordance with program criteria.
- Monitoring
employee use (employees may request up to four (4) rides per anniversary
year) with the assistance of point2point solutions;
3. Promote the availability of the ERH program to employees by:
- Distributing
informational materials (e.g., flyers, payroll stuffers, break room postings,
etc.) as supplied by point2point solutions for employees
on ERH,
carpools, vanpools, transit service, biking, and walking options.
- Provide
ERH materials to new employees at new-hire orientations.
